FTEC – Saturday [September 20]

Ino was pretty sure that this was going to be a bad day if radio had been anything to go by about how many people had been in and out of the clinic last night.

As such, she didn’t even take out her study materials, but rather busied herself with making sure everything was stocked up and keeping a watchful eye on the door. Ready to help if it was needed.

...she really hoped it wouldn't be needed. Better wasted effort than a lot of patients.

"More evil robots?" Martha asked, going to grab more bandages from the cabinet. She was trying to learn, really.

"Not exactly," Anakin replied, wincing a bit as he shifted on the table. "He lost most of his limbs in a lightsaber accidents decades ago." He glanced down at his chest. "It's not a very forgiving weapon."

"I can see that," Martha said. "I hate to say it, but I don't know how much I can do for you here. I'll patch you up, and then you're going to have to stay for a while so I can keep an eye on you, all right?"

Anakin nodded. "I can fix a lot of this myself with time and quiet," he said. "As long as nothing was cut off, I'm fine."

"Fine" was kind of pushing it--he'd have some nasty scars.

"You can have all the time you want," Martha said, applying the bandages as best she could. "As for quiet, well, I'm hoping that will come soon."

"This is my second week in town," Martha admitted. "I'm considering this a crash course in town life."

"This sort of thing happens every few months. The weirdness or an invasion, not the island moving," Anakin said. "You get used to it."

With Anakin it was hard to tell.

Martha was going to assume it was teasing, because he seemed intelligent enough to not be mean to someone who could have a sudden need to poke at his injuries to check them again.

"What was that you said about time and quiet?" she said with a smirk. "I'll leave you to your rest."
